Clay Irrigation is focused on doing things that improve the state of the
art of irrigation – saving water, saving energy and doing a better job
of irrigating. As we move into the 21st century, water will be the most
precious element on the face of the earth. We feel that we have a
relevant product line and that the new products we are working on will
make us part of the solution rather than part of the problem.
Clay Irrigation has installed irrigation systems for new and existing
homes, commercial properties, municipal parks and athletic facilities.

Clay Irrigation was founded in 1994 by Jerry Clay in Albertville,
Alabama. Working with his son Chris Clay via fax, phone, and mail he
worked to get his irrigation contracting business off the ground. In
January 1995 Chris became a partner and the two dug ditches until their
heart was content or their backs gave out (whichever came first.)
The first full-time employees were hired in August 1995, and with the
help of associated construction contractors in the landscape business,
the company took on new customers. Our office was moved to Guntersville
in late 1995 as a central location to serve Marshall County.
Chris purchased his fathers stock in the company in 1996 and hired the
great office manager we all know as Beverly.
In the fall of 1997, we relocated to our present office/shop facility.
We are now located on a 2 acre site at the intersection of Hwy 79 and
431 in the Claysville community, north of Guntersville.
The company has experienced steady growth since its inception. Chris
contributes this success to his hard working, dedicated employees
(otherwise known as the Clay Irrigation team). Credit must also be given
to Clay Irrigation's loyal customers and landscaping associates for
their gracious referrals.
